How do I fix "Multiple H1"?

Fixing "Multiple H1" issue on site audit.

The H1 tag describes the main topic of your page and helps search engines understand what the page is about.

What to do: Review the pages listed in the audit and ensure that each page contains only one H1 tag.

How to fix: Remove or change additional H1 tags to H2, H3, or other appropriate heading levels.

Search engines crawl your website and prioritize H1 -> H2 -> H3 titles.

If you have multiple H1 headings coming from the theme, simply change the additional H1 headings to H2 headings.

If the additional H1 headings come from apps, check whether they can be customized within the app settings. If not, contact the app developer's support team.

Alternatively, you can ask Sidekick to change that for you. For example, you can select the duplicated H1 text block and ask - “Can you set this text to H2?”

Note: Each page should ideally have only one H1 tag. Using multiple H1 tags can make it less clear which content is the main focus of the page, potentially causing confusion for search engines and users. It can also negatively affect your SEO.

If none of the above-mentioned solutions work for you, it means the issue is most likely within your theme's code. In this case, we recommend contacting an experienced developer for further assistance.
