How do I fix "Orphan pages"?

Fixing "Orphan pages" issue on site audit.

Written by Julia

Orphan pages have no internal links pointing to them. They are only accessible via direct URL or sitemap, which makes it harder for search engines to discover.

What to do: Review the orphan pages listed in the audit and determine whether they should be accessible through your website's navigation or content.

How to fix: Add internal links pointing to these pages from relevant pages, collections, articles, menus. If it’s a product URL - consider adding it to a collection or navigation menu, this would solve the issue.

Note: Internal links help search engines find, crawl, and understand your pages. When a page has no internal links pointing to it, it becomes harder for search engines to discover and evaluate its importance. If the page is valuable and intended to rank in search results, it should generally be linked from other relevant pages on your website.
